Friends on Mento: When you share a link with friends who are also using Mento, we normally send it to them at the end of the day together with other links they received. Meanwhile, each user can adjust how they‘d like to receive links since you can also get them via RSS, Facebook and other ways.
Emails: You can certainly send links to email addresses. Enter the address in the Mento Box and we‘ll send the link right away.
Facebook: If you have a Facebook account, you can send links to any friend there by typing their name into the Mento Box. Your friends will receive the link as a notification when they log into Facebook.
Getting Feedback: Mento will tell you when your friends have clicked on the link you sent them. Mento users can also give you a ”plus“ or send a reply to let you know that they liked the link.
How can I share videos or images?
Images: You can include an image with each link that you save on Mento. Simply right-click the image you‘d like to include and select the ”Share & Save on Mento“ option from the menu that opens (this only works if you use the Mento Extension for Firefox or Internet Explorer — on a Mac, hold the Control/Ctrl Key while clicking the image). Try it!
YouTube & Vimeo: Mento automatically recognizes when you post the link of a YouTube video and will include a YouTube player directly on your Mento page. We also recognize videos from Vimeo automatically and we‘ll be supporting more online video sites in the future.
Who can see my links?
Every link you send is saved to Your Links on Mento. By default, these links are public and visible to others.
To share a link privately, simply uncheck the green square when sending the link or change the link‘s privacy afterwards using the ”Save“ tab.
