Boaz Gurdin replied - Minimizing distraction is nice, but it's also nice to have a peripheral awareness of what's going on around you so you can context switch when the time is right. For example, it's a lot easier for me to collaborate with my boss now that I moved into an office across the hall from her and I can see when she's free. It would be less distracting if I closed my door, but I'd miss out on the key opportunities during the day to jump across the hall and ask her a question that unblocks me from whatever I was doing on my computer.8 months, 1 week ago
